We’ve been out in the garden even though I haven’t talked about it much here. In fact, we are off to our best start ever as far as getting things in the ground at the right time goes.

We are trying out some new varieties this year (pictured above)–“Banana Seeds” and “Winter Cabbage Flowers”, according to FB. He “read” the seed packets :)

Chubby hands and fat seeds always make a cute yet frustrating combination during planting time, but eventually it pays off . . .

5 year old Spud once gleefully did the same thing; today I turned him loose on our relentless weeds with a sprayer full of vinegar, fully confident of his ability to tell the difference between beans, potatoes, and weeds.
